Build and run an event

Make an event

In the Host area, open Events and choose Create event.

  1. Add a name and a clear description.
  2. Add a flyer. This is the first thing many guests will see.
  3. Set the address, date, and start and end time.
  4. Pick a look for the event, including its theme, title style, and effects.
  5. Add one or more ticket types.
  6. Save as a draft while you check it, or publish when it is ready.

You can choose whether the event appears in discovery. You can also turn on guest approval, event chat, and a visible attendee list when those fit your event.

Set up tickets

Each ticket can have its own name, price, number available, and sale window. Free tickets do not need payments. Paid tickets need Stripe Connect set up for your team. The app will not let you make a paid ticket below the platform minimum.

Check your ticket names before you publish. Guests see them during checkout.

Run the event

Open the event in the Host area to use its tools:

  • Scan: Scan a guest’s QR code, check their ticket, then redeem it. A redeemed code cannot be used again.
  • Tickets: Change ticket details and availability.
  • Orders: Find orders and issue refunds when needed.
  • Guests: View the attendee list when it is on for the event.
  • Approvals: Accept or reject guest requests for approval-only events.
  • Referrals: Make and review share links.
  • Live: Start or manage a live stream when your team has access.
  • Tracking pixels: Add supported tracking tools for your event.

On supported iPhones, door staff can use Tap to Pay for in-person sales.

WARNING

Always check the event time, place, ticket price, and approval setting before you publish. Those details affect every guest.

Make a plan. Make it happen.
