Disputes
A dispute, also called a chargeback, happens when a buyer asks their bank to reverse a charge.
What MyPlots does
When a dispute comes in, MyPlots tracks it in the Host area and sends the order and event details it has to Stripe. This can include ticket delivery and scan records.
The disputed amount, and sometimes a fee, can lower your balance while the bank reviews the case.
Check a dispute
Owners and admins can open Disputes in the Host area. Use the filters to see active or finished cases. Open a case to check:
- The buyer and order
- The event and amount
- The reason and current status
- Dates and balance changes
Common statuses include Needs response, Under review, Won, and Lost. Banks make the final choice, and review can take time.
Help MyPlots help you
Keep event details, ticket rules, and guest messages clear. Scan tickets at the door when you can. These records can help show that a guest received what they bought.
If you have important information that is not in the case, or the case looks wrong, contact support as soon as you can. Include the event name, order number, and dispute details.
